My name is Eric Au, born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I hold a bachelors degree of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba. During my time there I experienced a variety of mediums including printmaking, drawing, photography and ceramics.

Favouritism is inherant in the production of creativity and mine has to be the 3D and functionality of ceramics. In my last year of art school, my focus was pinpointed on ceramics and how it works in terms of historical and functional importance. A large interest in the practicality of ceramics has lead me to pursue a masters of Industrial Design at the University of Calgary, my current residence. I am in my first year of this program and hope to finish within a reasonable time frame.

My interests lie within my degree. I have a soft spot for photography and am a frequent user of the Adobe family of products and application. Examples of the kinds of digital photography and artwork can be found in the Photos section of this website as well as samples of my ceramic work.

I speak fluent Cantonese and I have travelled to alot of Asia. I play a variety of sports; badminton, table tennis and hockey. In terms of movies, there are days when explosions are needed and there are some when dialogue is the driver.

I hope to one day become a successful designer, enjoy what I do and travel to the ends of the earth.
